I had the pleasure of being a teenager at this show and being blown away...that night I saw a one-time-only sight: as they transitioned from Around-n-around into Johnny B Goode, Jerry swung his guitar up in the air, both feet left the stage and he landed stroking the opening riff to JBG. I looked at my friend who was also slack-jawed at the sight. Never again would I see Jerry's feet leave the stage simultaneously...there is very real high energy on this recording.

the war memorial is still there, underwent a major renovation a few years ago and is now "Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial". Better acoustics there now than back in the day of the old hockey barn era...seen many a fantastic show there, this was good but they had better in Rochester ('77 and one at Holleder Stadium) not there anymore, although I don't remember the year of that one.

Enjoyed it. The opening Shakedown Street makes you move. The boys played tight, and I think I was at this show. Don't know if the War Memorial is still there though. Regretfully, caught on to the archive right after the block on soundboard recordings. I smiled 23 years ago and the music still brings a smile to my face - happy music!
