Subject: Great show
As for this hometown show, it sounds great. The overall quality is very good and the audience punctures the recording at just the right moments to actually enhance the listening experience. Songs like "I Dare U" have a really sweet melody. "Fall" has a middle-eastern sound. The musicanship is excellent. More specifically, I think Arene Livingston is one of the best bass players out there today. This show happened shortly after the release of "Electric Rosary," their most sucessful album (to date). Aside from the great production and songs, the LP featured Bill Frisell and received attention on National Public Radio. On this 6-9-01 performance, you'll hear many of the great songs off "Electric Rosary."
