Subject: Annoying hero, okay story
Subject: Annoying hero, okay story
As the summary indicates, the famous detective Adam Adams is called in to investigate the double murder of the Langmores. Margaret, the daughter of Mr. Langmore, stands accused, and Adams starts his snooping. As he digs deeper, however, it would seem that something more than just family troubles are at the heart of the murders.
My personal observation is that the author wrote the detective as being kind of dense. He walks into some obvious traps and gets himself caught too many times.
A couple of the chapters are rough with echoes and buzzing, but the reading is mostly fine, I just found the hero of the story rather annoying.
