Just to be a contrarian where contrary is due, i disagree with the above review because i patched outta curtis and i think this tape sounds pretty banging. lots of bass for the dpa's and pretty full. the ad2k helps them a ton. plus curtis has been doing the fob thing forever and seems to average better than average results. see the MSG FOB's from 90 (dead of course).
so i was pretty happy when i heard the sound of this recording, and i owned 140's at the time. i look forward to checking those sources out and comparing, but i think this tape has a great sound to it.
also, the faker (moe) > glory (umphrees) > kids (moe) is a super epic moment in jamband history. passing of the guitar instead of a torch, but you get the picture....

there is a km140 source as well for this show but its not on archive. It was taped by the same guy who did the Umphree's opening set which is on archive. B&K recording's are very hit or miss in my opinion and this one definitely misses. BTW, this venue is KILLER as are the acoustics so i dont know what went wrong. New Orleans can do weird things to people.
