No taping was allowed at this show, but I did anyway and just recently got permission from Jon Topper, moe.'s manager to post this recording.
You get the benefit of an April 2010 mastering with only the slightest tweak to this 24 bit recording, using the knowledge which I didn't have almost 2 years ago that when you run split mics you might need to time align the channels (in this case it was extremely minor -- 20 samples or 1/4,800th of a second). It's probably not audible, but I did it anyway and hope you appreciate.
Happy Birthday to Eric Vandercar who got to do the "...but To fly?" part of Moth.
In my opinion, this recording sounds spectacular -- the balcony split resulted in great stereo separation, very crisp highs, minimal crowd noise, and is extremely dynamic -- it could be the best moe. recording I've ever made (and I've been taping them since 1995).
There is a normal CD quality 16 bit version of this recording available at http://www.archive.org/details/moe2008-06-16.tlm170.early.balcony.split.flac16
The electric sets of this show are available from the same recording set up at http://www.archive.org/details/moe2008-06-16.tlm170.balcony.split.flac24
