Rocked out 3rd row. Great set by Phil and his current lineup. I have seen PLF about 15 times and this was 1st w/ Jackie Green....different, but still cool. CR chilled the Sugaree w/ a jam. Got the folks loose b4 the Crowes cranked up. Thanks gang! killer venue, shows in A-town are great. $60 cab ride home was not.

my review:
my first time at the venue, and it is indeed pretty nice...acoustics and line of sight are GREAT in that sumbitch...not a dead spot (sound) or a bad view in the house...we had a crew of 6-10, with both my parents and lil bro in attendance...MY BROS FIRST SHOW!!!! ALLSUM!!! HE LOVED IT
Phil's set was fire!!!!
-the 'good morning little school girl' was allsum, but way different than any version I've ever heard...the timing was a lot slower, but it was cool as hell
-'ball & chain' and 'passenger' i could have done without, as well as 'box of rain' to close the show....i love 'box of rain', but not as an encore (esp when its the only song in the encore)
-'chest fever'>'west LA' was sickness...'west LA' is my favorite dead tune anyway, and hearing Phil's version of 'chest fever' was pretty cool...not as good as panic's version, but still a tasty lil nugget
-sugaree with chris was special...probably would have shed a tear if i wasn't feeling so GOOD!!!
-the 'help>slip>franklins' was HOT HOT HOT and without a doubt the HIGHLIGHT of the show...my dad was a lil wasty (as was i) and he was fuckin getting down to some franklins (as was i), rawkin it out 10th row...shakin his ass like nobody's bizness
GOOD RECORDING HERE!!!! MUCH THANKS
