Amazing show and wow peak & circus soliel grils
I have to say I was convinced by my son to go to the Vegoose festival he lives there and it did not disappoint. It was his first cheese show and what a way get started off. This show was sick show plane and simple. I loved the Panjea horn section and all the peak experience theater tics with the circus soliel girls hanging half naked from the rafters. At the end the first set they threw it all down with thriller it was like New Years Eve balloons & skeletons dropping zombies were dancing all over the place & Michael Jackson impersonator WOW.

Vegas Party
What a fun setlist.. had a blast at the Madison show the previous Hulaween, and I think this one (in combination with the day set)is right up there. Like the Thriller cover, and it is great to hear Cheese with horns. MLT sounds awesome, Search is good, very nice Rivertrance (always a favorite) plus Miss Brown's to end is a good way to close the night. Big ups to the guys from Panjea, who make this already kickin show take off. And a big thanks to Joe for the tape job.. keep up the excellent work. GET THIS SHOW YOU CHEESE FREAK YOU

what a party this must have been! this is a very good recording with crowd noise at a distance, not that i mind hearing the audience, but we all know those shows with some chatty person right next to the tapers (why doesn't someone SHHH them?)well there is none of that here, the music is right in your
face.i'm listening to it right now on my home system and it is clear, crisp, and the bass is thumpin' just right...
i wish i had seen these boys more last year!

needin a cheese fix
i had seen 2 shows in NH and 2 in atlanta during fall tour, and thought the band was on fire. i couldnt quite justify a 3rd leg of fall tour, or could I? I woke up in denver early on the morning of the 29th.. with something nagging me... the cheese devil f*&kin with me. at 10 am I couldnt stand it any longer. tickets for Vegoose still available...plane ticket $630 OUCH. DONE! I fly to vegas in time for the show, get blown away by the theatrics, the music, and the vibe, leave the show, go to the airport to catch a 7am flight back to denver. no hotel, no backpack, no change of clothes, not even a change of underwear or toothbrush... chalk it up to string cheese mind control

Cheese in Vegas
Vegoose was good, set off the mood of the weekend but...
The late night show here blew every mind in the joint. This was an Amazing vibe and a great time. Everyone in the place was having fun, just a completely different experience supported by some really good feeling music.
If you have never seen String Cheese I can assure you that they will change both the way you hear music as well as the way you approach life if you're in just the right state of mind.
If listening to this show doesn't make you wanna dance you gotta be dead. The mood was perfect. Best concert I've ever experienced, bar none. Exceptional!!!! (Even though Security at Orleans had NOTHING better to do than hastle the puffers during the show, completely different from the "free to smoke" attitude of Vegoose ((a couple of yrs. back it would Never have happened, was still a Felony for ANY possesion in NV.. WOOT !))
Peace All, and go see a show.

The entire Vegoose weekend was incredible but the highlight of all the hours and hours of music was what happened at the Orleans Arena. One of the best shows I have seen by any band. Download this one...

This show was so great. The guys where is such good spirits, with big smiles on stage all nite. I especially enjoyed the Search, a short/tight version, but the horns added so much! And This Must Be The Place right into Desert Dawn/Restless Wind! WOW. These guys have found it. What a THRILLER.
Peace & See ya New Year's

Great Halloween
Like other reviewers said, this show rocks. Somewhat dissapointed that I ran out of gas at Vegoose and didn't attend even though I had a ticket.
Anyone have the festival performance from the afternoon? Would be great to have both shows.

SCI Late Night Halloween Show
I have been to alot of SCI shows, including New Years 2000 and 2002, Hornings Hideout 2003, High Sierra 97, 98 and 1999, and various other shows like Shasta, Berkley and Tahoe. I have seen many shows with Peak Experience, and by far, this was the best energy and eye-candy performance I have seen in awhile. SCI is my favorite band, and I might be biased, but after a full day out at Vegoose, I had to find the will power to maket it to this show, and I am so glad I did, way to go boys!!!

This is one of those peak shows that SCI pulls out of nowhere that make for damn rememberable x-periences. That new tune of Kyle's Pack It Up sure did bring that funk liek they said it would. The highlight for me though was the desert dawn...it was kinda a mix of cheese and an acid test which inevitably=good stuff

A concerned listener
****I am responding to the notes by the taper of this show. I have not listened to this show or any in the post Jon O'Leary era. I will not be able to boycott SCI because of this. I do not even know the details of his leaving. But to my ears, he and Charlie of SKB are the best in the business. Jon usually had the band dialed in just right. Anyway, Jon-O, I will listen wherever you may go. Might even expose me to a new band! I have been using the Archive for about 8 months now. I just want to say THANK YOU,THANK YOU,THANK YOU, to all who make this possible from the bands/crews, to THE TAPERS, to the administrative and support staff at the Live Music Archive!!!

WOW!!
Previous reviewers have stated it..INDESCRIBABLE EVENT!!! These theatrics were beyond belief..way off the hook. All the stuff going on was just crazy...especially for Thriller ending the first set. The crowd energy was phenomenal!! Oh yeah..and the band was pretty hot too!!! Cheese is the best out there these days. And this show was smokin' hot all the way through...check it out now!!
The previous reveiwer stated this sounds good "even without Jon-O" but I seem to recall Jon-O being thanked by Billy at the end? Was he not there?

Grand old time in Vegas! Even till the 'we hours of the morning friends were sucking in this show. Words really can't explain the energy derived from Cheese mixing with horns and theatrics! The boys were on fire and I know there will be plenty of shows like this to follow (Although it will be tough to top)
And now... I shall listen to the recording. Take care!

This was one of the most intense musical experiences I have had in a long time! The band, performers, audience, and energy combined for an indescribable Incident. Words cannot justify what went down at the Orleans, but this recording will help to understand. The place went off and I doubt it has come down yet!!!

In the world of Cheese this is the cheddar. Essential. A three in a half hour of halloween madness. The costumes combined with incredible and vegasy visuals set the whole energy of the show so high. The horns in the thriller are so perfect.

i miss jon o but this recording is prety darn good. the energy in this room trancended what i thought was humanly possible. there were so many animated characters in that room, and i think the whole place was spun like a fuckin marry-go-round. it was like ooooeeee baby. cant believe the feelin they give. my first vegas experience was one that cant be said i a word. the music gods open up once and a while and let you into their world. thank god for cheese and i wish they would tour more often this year. i pray i got the dough to go to the all night new years shows
