this is a great recording and does this show justice. from 'mountains' through 'rider' is amazing. the second set is no slouch.
funny thing, on many, many blog spaces, the 'days' gets ripped, but i think that there was something mystical in this performance. yes, we waited, and hung on every note, wondering where it would go, finding it foundering in spots, but isn't that what creativity and exploration is all about folks? the transition back into 'bird song' (ratdog style) is phenomenally played.
in retrospect, this show is even better than i recall. "let's do it."
sweet recording. sure, a lot of folks say, why 5 stars when it's not 1974? well, 5 stars for 2009! come on, that was 35 years ago and phil, bobby, mickey and bill are still bringing it.
i have no complaints save audience chatter. fortunately, the quality of nick's picks minimizes that factor.
as a buddy of mine said, the east coast sing-along energy at least juices band and audience ENJOYING the event. other audience grabs, shoreline 5/10 especially, sounds like a yackety-yack distracted cocktail party. yeah, there's some chatter here, but there's a glimpse of the 'x' factor.
thanks nick.

This is absolutely the best recording I've heard from any of the shows. Thank's much Nick, it confirmed to me that this was a great show, something I questioned when listening to some of the less sharp uploads out there. Download this NOW!!!! Also, shell out the 14.50 for the SB because this show is very much worth having an aud. and a SB. Thanks Boys for renewing my spirit and bringing some of the light and joy back!!! Twirl, Twirl, Twirl....
