't AMPHIPOD NEWSLETTER Edited by: Wii Vader, Trowso Museum Produced by: Les Wat ling, University of Naine-Darling Center NEW AND REVISED AMPHIPOD TAXA IN AMPHIPOD NEWS LETTER 1-10 AN INDEX TO THE BIBLOIGRAPHY II. SPECIES AND SUBSPECIES George I. Crawford & Wim Vader Introduction This is the second part of the index which was promised when the first part (on genera and higher taxa) was issued. It is arranged on the same lines with lists, arranged in alphabetical order, of new species; subspecies newly raised to specific rank; and new subspecies. New species described but not named (of the type Gammarus sp. A) have not been included. The bibliography includes, for completeness, all papers which contain descriptions of the new taxa listed, including papers from the bibliography of Part I (1980). Entries consist of the specific (or subspecific) name; the genus or species of which this is a sub-taxon; the author's reference; the AN reference; and the type locality. The scope of the index has been extended to cover new taxa named in the papers abstracted in AN 1-10, whether or not the names of these taxa are recorded in the abstracts. This has involved a great deal of re-examination of the texts and has made the index far more complete - though not, of course, absolutely complete. In particular we expect a number of omissions in the list of infraspecific taxa raised to specific rank. We shall be grateful if such omissions are brought to our notice along with any other errors or omissions detected. We have tried to give the type locality area of each species or subspecies rather than its complete distributional range, but this has not always been possible. 2 • — ••• .«• . ,.t •• NEW AND REVISED AMPHIPOD TAXA IN AMPHIPOD NEWSLETTER 1-10 AN INDEX TO THE BIBLIOGRAPHY I.
