NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS

1. Orders should be sent in as early as possible, as I make it a rule to execute them in the order in which they are received.

2. Orders should be written oq a separate sheet, and not mixed up in the body of the letter, thereby teading to prevent mistakes.

3. Persons not acquainted with the different varieties would do well to leave the selection to myself, as I will endeavor to send only such sorts as are acknowledged to give general satisfaction.

4. Particular attention given to labeling and packing for shipping. A moderate charge for packing, sufficient to cover cost of material only, will be made ; but no charge is made for delivery of packages at railroad or express offices at Haywards.

5. Give plain and explicit shipping directions. When none are given, or when left to me to choose mode of conveyance, I will exercise my best judgment ; but as all goods are at the risk of the purchaser, after being shipped, I must not be held responsible for any loss or delay that may occur through the negligence of the forwarders.

6. Orders to be sent by express, C. O. D., must be accompanied by at least one-half the amount in cash.

7. My customers are requested to notify me immediately of any errors that may be made in filling orders, so that I may at once rectify the same, as I desire to conduct my business in all respects satisfactorily to those who favor me with their confidence

8. Remittances may be made by draft on San Francisco, Wells, Fargo & Co. and Post Office money orders on Haywards, or cash by express, prepaid.

9. When necessary, a sworn certificate will be sent with each order, certifying that the stock shipped was grown here in my nursery.

10. In ordering, please state if certificate is wanted, so I may send the same at time of shipment, thereby saving delay after arrival of stock.

All my stock is grown on Whole Seedling Roots, is true to name, free from insect pests, and raised without irrigation, new ground being used each j^ear.

Prices, and all information regarding laying out, planting, pruning, remedies for different insects, etc., etc., given on application. Address all letters to
