ROSA SARGENT
This latest of Mr. Dawson’s Silver Medal Roses is now offered for sale in limited quantities. This rose combines the good qualities of Rosa Wichuraiana, Rosa Baroness Rothschild and Rosa Crimson Rambler, all of which have been used in its evolution. Professor Sargent in an Arbor- etum Bulletin describes this rose as follows: “The flowers are cup-shaped, pale clear pink and semi-double; that is, there are two rows of petals, and they are produced in large clusters, each composed of from fifty to sixty flowers. The flowers open gradually and in succession, so that the plant is covered with flowers for several weeks. The Sar- gent Rose is one of the handsomest Roses that has been raised in the United States.”
Good strong plants . $1.50 each; $14 per ten.
ORDER NOW.
ROSA WM. C. EGAN
This Rose was awarded a medal by the Massachusetts Horticultural Society in 1900. It was produced by crossing Gen. Jacqueminot on Rosa Wichuraiana, but shows no trace of either in its bloom. The flower is large and very full, resembling in shape as well as color Souvenir de la Mal- maison. Although only an annual bloomer, it remains in flower several weeks, and the large trusses of superb blooms are unusually attractive. Mr. Dawson considered this the best of all his numerous hybrids. It is unquestionably hardy and reliable.

ROSA FARQUHAR
This Rose was awarded the silver gilt medal of the Mass- achusetts Horticultural Society, certificated by the Horti- cultural Society of New York. The Farquhar Rose has glossy, bright green foliage which does not drop, but re- tains its lustre until cut down by severe frost, a feature which makes it most valuable for covering trellises, pillars, summer-houses and rocks. It is perfectly hardy and bears magnificent clusters of bright pink double flowers on long stems which are most serviceable for vases and table dec- orations, and bloom several weeks later than the Dawson Rose.
3 yr. $ .35 each; $2 per ten; $15 per C.
ROSA MINNIE DAWSON
This Rose was awarded a medal by the Massachusetts Horticultural Society in 1896. It was produced by crossing Rosa Multiflora and Dawson. The flower is double white with yellow center and is very delicate. It is a climber and has foliage similar to the Dawson.
$1 each; $9 per ten.

5 in. pots . . $1.00 each 9.00 Note: — In habit this new climber resembles our native woodbine. The ground color of the leaves is dark velvety greeny with the mid-rib and principal veins silvery white. The foliage has a very striking appearance in autumn when the ground color changes to vivid red, the mid-rib and vein remaining white. In Massachusetts this vine requires protection during winter, but would probably prove quite hardy south of New York, or even farther north where the influence of the ocean moderates the temperature, heterophylla

ROSA LADY DUNCAN
This fine Rose was awarded a silver medal by the Mass- achusetts Horticultural Society in 1900. It is a hybrid of the ever excellent Rugosa and the Memorial Rose (R. Wich- uraiana). It has the prostrate long rampant growth of the Wichuraiana, while the Rugosa blood shows in the luxu- riant, dark, glossy foliage, and in the profusion of large, single flowers. The petals of rich glowing pink melt into an exquisite large yellow center. Lady Duncan is per- fectly hardy, even to Canada, is a strong grower, free bloomer, and of long duration of blooming.
The stock is limited. Order now for Spring delivery. Good strong plants which will yield a mass of blossoms in late June.
$1 each; $10 per ten; $90 per C.
ROSA DAYBREAK
This Rose was awarded a silver medal by the Massachu- setts Horticultural Society in 1899. It is a rose of Wichu- raiana type crossed with Rambler Dawson. A vigorous grower, profuse bloomer, excellent too for forcing. The flowers are single, in great pyramidal clusters of deep, yellowish pink, somewhat darker than Lady Duncan, the petals of a lighter shade toward the center. The foliage is bright, glossy green, and the habit trailing, like its par- ent, Wichuraiana.
$ .75 each; $7 per ten; $60 per C.

arendsi This new race of early blooming Phlox is obtained by crossing the early-flowering Phlox Divaricata with varieties of the “Garden Phlox” (Phlox paniculata). These Phlox have the general habit and charac- teristics of Phlox divaricata, but are larger, have a longer period of bloom, and a large range of color. They are invaluable to fill in the gap in the blooming season between the Phlox divaricata and the early blooming forms of Phlox paniculata.
We have the following varieties in limited quantities for late Spring delivery :
