ALGOA

FRUIT & NURSERY COMPANY

C. W. MINSON, Manager ALGOA, TEXAS

GRAND CLOSING OUT SALE

AN EXCEPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY TO SECURE FIRST CLASS STOCK AT AN EXTREMELY LOW PRICE

Plant “Algoa Grown” Trees

Having decided to discontinue the Nursery Business, we offer herein our entire line of stock in standard varieties and grades direct to Plant- ers and Growers at a price that has seldom if ever been quoted on stock of such class and quality before.

Our entire stock, comprising ORANGE, POM- ELO, KUMQUAT, TANGERINE, miscellaneous Fruit Trees, FIGS, SHADES, SHRUBS, AND ORNAMENTALS, must go this season, and we have cut the price on all grades and varieties to such an extent that it offers an exceptional op- portunity to every one to secure stock for this season’s planting at a ridiculously low price.

Bear in mind that the stock offered herein rep- resents the best varieties in the various kinds, and is guaranteed to be strictly as represented. This is not an attempt to dispose of inferior stock at a bargain price, as our trees are first- class in every respect, and poor stock is expens- ive as a gift.

We invite inspection of our stock by our cus- tomers, and will meet same at station, if notified in time.

All stock offered has been inspected by the State Inspector of Orchards and Nurseries, and copy of Certificate of Inspection will accompany all orders.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

We invite inspection of our stock by our customers, and will meet all at station if notified in time.

Club orders among neighbors of a community are often ad- visable, as by clubbing together and having all orders shipped to one party a substantial saving can be made account of larger number of trees ordered.

We book all orders with the distinct understanding that we shall not be held liable for injury or loss of stock from frost, hail, fire or other causes over which we have no control. We are not liable for delays in transit, and our responsibility ceases upon delivery to transportation company. All orders for stock are accepted subject to supply on date received.

We guarantee all stock to be true to name and free from disease, and agree to replace, upon proper proof, any stock that may be found otherwise, or refund the amount paid for same; but it is mutually agreed between the purchaser and ourselves that we shall not be liable for a greater amount than the purchase price.

All stock is carefully dug, graded and packed. We make no extra charge for packing. We do not pay transportation charges, but deliver f. o. b. Algoa.

Five, fifty and one hundred trees of one class take ten, hundred and thousand rates, except on long lists of a few trees of many varieties.

It is not practicable to ship stock by mail, as only very small sizes can be conveniently packed to be shipped by that method.

In ordering, please give name and address plainly, and state whether stock is to be shipped by freight or express. Where no instructions are given, we will use our best judgment. If freight and express office is different from postoffice address, do not fail to mention same.

Terms: Cash with order if for immediate shipment. On

orders to be held for future shipment, we require 25 per cent cash with order, balance before shipment is made.

Remittances can be made by Registered Letter, Money Or- der, Bank Draft or Check.

Our shipping season usually opens about November 15th and continues until last of March.

Magnolia Figs

The Magnolia is a large greenish yellow or amber colored fig, which for preserving, pickling, jam and other finished products can not be excelled.

This variety is justly entitled to its well earned reputation as the best fig for commercial planting, and has practically superseded all other varieties for that purpose on the coast.

The available supply of stock of this variety is limited this season, due to adverse weather conditions, but we are able to offer several thousand fine, well-rooted trees.

It is generally advisable in transplanting some evergreens to have plants dug with a ball of earth and burlapped. We recommend that Camphor, Crypt. Japonica, Mag. G. F. and

Cedar, as well as other varieties when balled prices are

quoted, be dug in that manner, especially in the larger grades, and price trees of varieties named both for balled and bare roots.
