The following additional Hardy Plants and Bulbs

are offered for the spring of 1917:

HARDY PLANTS

Achillea ptarmica The Pearl, small pure white flowers in dense clusters through the summer, 2 feet.

Alyssum saxatile compacta, a showy spring plant, 1 foot, close flat heads of golden yellow.

Bocconia cordata, tall strong growing plant for backgrounds with showy panicles of buff colored flowers in May and June.

Campanula calyeanthema, the Cup and Saucer Canterbury Bell, like the single, a biennial but well worth while. Blue or rose.

Campanula pyramidalis, perennial, tall, large flowers in blue and white. 15c, $1.50 per doz.

Chrysanthemums, Hardy Pompons. These are particularly fine for fall, coming as they do at the end of the season when other flowers are out of bloom. They are hardy and entirely satisfactory for out-door culture.

Excelsior, bright yellow.

Boston, bronze yellow.

Queen of the White, pure white.

Rhoda, apple blossom pink.

Flamingo, bronze.

Marie Antoinette, rose.

Daybreak, light pink.

Kitty Bourne, yellow.

Dianthus plumarius, the old fashioned single hardy pink in great variety of colors.

Heliopsis Pitcheriana, easily grown plant for the border with profusion of daisy shaped flowers of orange color on good stems for cutting.

Lychnis chalcedonies, a good border plant grow- ing 2 to 3 feet with dense heads of bright scarlet flowers.

Scabiosa japonica, a strong growing plant with large clear blue flowers excellent for cutting.

Tritoma Phtzerii, commonly called Red Hot Poker, large tall spikes of rich orange-scarlet flowers, very showy and effective. Of easy cul- ture but should have some winter protection. 15c, $ 1 .50 per doz.

Valeriana rubra, a low growing plant with bright red flowers and spicy fragrance.

Mrs. Watt, a new shade in red, dark wine, very striking and fine for decoration, new, 20c, $2.00 per doz.

Myrtle, very delicate rose pink, early and beautiful for cutting, 30c, $3.00 per doz.

Schwaben, delicate clear yellow with dark spot in throat, strong robust grower and large flower, 20c, $2.00 per doz.

Black Beauty, very dark velvety maroon, decorative type, 20c.

Else, delicate white and rose cactus variety, base of petals yellow and amber, 20c.

Geisha, a most striking peony flowered variety, gold- en yellow and scarlet, large flowers and long stems and freedom of bloom producing a very gorgeous effect. Considered one of the very best, 50c.

Hortulanus Fiet, an extremely large decorative with flower well supported on strong stems. Color is a delicate pink with tips of petals chang- ing to gold with tints of gold diffused through the entire flower and colors changing as it ages. A very attractive new variety, 75 c.

Princess Juliana, a free blooming decorative sort, medium sized pure white flowers and long stems, 25c.

Rheingau, a large free blooming cactus flower of brilliant scarlet, a very fine new variety, 30c.

Sequoia, a cactus variety of fine form on stiff stems, golden yellow with tints of bronze, 30c.

Snowflake, a pure white single of the Century type. The pure white of the petals with the gold of the stamens makes a beautiful color combination. A very profuse bloomer with good stems, 30c.
