Fore Word

We thank our customers for their liberal patronage the past season, and solicit a con- tinuance of their orders. We also thank them for recommending our plants to others. Many of our orders come from people who have been advised by pleased customers to send to us.

We would appreciate the placing of or- ders as early as possible, as it will help us, and at the same time insure the customer of better service.

The farm is situated at Glencove, three miles from Rockland on the electric car line.

The telephone is listed Lufkin, Pleasant View Farm, on Rockland exchange. Mail is delivered by rural carrier.

Write your name and address plainly, and clearly state how you wish the goods sent.

We endeavor to have all plants true to name, but will not be responsible for more than the first cost of the plants. Stock will be dug and shipped as promptly as possible. If for any reason your order cannot be fill- ed, all money that may have been advanced will be returned.

Spring is the best time to set plants but good results can be had from fall planting.

We have a few copies of the 1916 and 1917 catalogues which treat on the culture of plants, and upon request will send them as long as the supply lasts.

The Everbearing varieties made so few runners last season that we are not listing them. The strawberry plants we sell are runners from strong mother plants that were not allowed to fruit.

Dr. Burrill. Similar in growth, appear- ance and quality to Senator Dunlap. A cross between Dunlap and Crescent. Not as universally known as Dunlap, but fully as good. It has perfect bloom. Price same as Dunlap.

Sample. Very prolific of large top-shaped fruit. This is a pistillate variety and needs to be set near some variety with perfect bloom. We think you will be well pleased with Sample.

Big Joe. We have fruited this variety one season, and liked it. It did not yield as heavily as the Sample and Kellogg’s Prize. Kellogg’s Prize. Kellogg’s Prize is ex- tremely late with fruit of medium size. Like Sample it is not perfect in bloom and should be set near some good late fertilizing variety like Aroma or Big Joe.
