HOLLANDS
SUGAR BEETS and STOCK BEETS
NEW IMPORTED DARK RED DETROIT BEET
We imported this seed from Holland. It was grown here last season with wonderful success for the first time. Beets are a rich dark red, with very beautiful red tops; flesh is not zoned with white ring's as in most beets; will not lose color when pickled or canned; very sweet and tender.
When beet tops are young and tender they may be cooked as spinach, and are as good. The stem may he par-boiled and piekled for immediate use.

SWISS CHARD OR FOLIAGE BEET
This is a distinct vegetable from the com- mon beet, much superior for greens, and is ready for use much earlier. When mature, the plant forms broad, flat and beautifully white and wax-like stems, which are very delicious when cooked as beets and asparagus tips, or pickled. We recommend this beet. A NEW VARIETY OF CABBAGE IM- PORTED FROM COPENHAGEN, DENMARK
WILBOT’S EX. EARLY EXPRESS
First tried out here last season with won- derful success. It is an improvement over Copenhagen Market, matures 10 days earlier. It is one of the finest early round-headed cab- bages in cultivation. It is desirable on ac- count of the remarkable characteristic of ma- turing the heads all at the same time, enabl- ing the grower to gather his crop with less expense and permitting the cleaning of the land at the first cutting. The heads average about ten pounds each in weight, are hard and solid, with small core. The leaves are light green, rather small, saucer-shaped and tightly folded, making it possible to set them close together in the field.
Price per pkt., 10c; per oz., 25c; Vi lb., 75c; 1 lb., $2.50, postpaid.
CHINESE CABBAGE
Pe-Tsai, or Celery Cabbage, resembles Cos Lettuce when growing, makes a fine salad, and when boiled with beef *or pork has a more pleasant flavor than cabbage. Pkg., 10c; oz., 3.0c.

HAYES SEED HOUSE, TOPEKA, KANSAS.
GENUINE TOM WATSON WATER MELON
WE HAVE THE BEST SEED YOU CAN GET.
No melon ever offered commands so high a price as the (Genuine Tom Watson in the leading: markets of the North. It finds a ready sale at from $10 to $25 per car more than other varieties; while less attractive kinds- sit around on the tracks unsold.
We make a specialty of growing this melon for seed purposes and have a true strain of the Original TOM WATSON.
The melons from which we take our seed weigh from twenty to forty pounds or more.
The true type of this melon seed is buff, or a very light brown. A great many seed houses are sending out white seeds for the true strain of Tom Watson. This shows a de- generation of the melon and will not give you the results desired. Plant the true strain. We have it. Price, pkg., 5c; oz., 10c; % lb., 25c; 1 lb., 75c.

Hayes New 65 Day
Roasting Ear Corn
In introducing the New Variety of Roasting
Ear Corn, we do not hesitate to say it is one of the very earliest now grown, and you can get corn for your table in about 65 days from planting. While this is not a true sweet corn, you can hardly tell the difference. It is far ahead of the Early Adams Va- rieties. The ears are from 8 to 10 inches long and have two to three ears to the stalk.
The picture here shown is a true photograph of an ideal ear of this Grand New Corn. We have a limited amount of this corn for sale this sea son, so send us your or- d e r at once.
NOTE: — We have several varieties of sweet corn as well as field corn and you will find them listed herein. Special prices in large lots. Let us have your orders this season. We can please y.ou in the quality of our seeds. Your money re- funded if not satisfied.
