FORWORD For fifteen years we have studied varieties through catalogs, magazines and visits to large gardens and exhibits, as well as growing hun- dreds of varieties in our own gardens. This simple price list with its meager descriptions s the result of our conclusion. We find little except disappoint- ments in the long expensive descriptions usually found in our catalogs and in this day of rapid transit combined with the easy accesibility to flower gardens shows and exhibitions there is little excuse for our disappointments. The failure of words to express the real beauty of a flower coupled with the over anxiety of the orginator often makes descriptions mislead- ing.

The hybridizers are bringing out many new and wonderful creations and the debt of the public to these plant wizards will never be paid, but there is a set of unscrupulous growers taking advantage of this insatiable thirst of the public for new things and are depending upon catchy advertisements to put it over for them.

You are welcome at our gardens at any time. We shall have thousands of tulips in bloom in April and May; Gladioli, in July, August and in Septem- ber; Dahlia in September and October. Our gar- dens are located at 901 West Main St., on the C. C. 0. Highway. You are especially welcome on Sundays as on these days we often hold flower shows in our new bulb cellar.
