Victoria. Small bulbs, $1.80 per 100, $15.00 per 1000. The Mixture contains many varieties, some of them decided novelties, and will constantly be bringing out something new by way of surprise. As this stock has been grown here, and has maintained itself here for years, it can safely be depended on for naturalizing. The same is true of practically all the named varieties of the list. Grandiflorus is the largest of the poeticus type, with tall heavy stem. King Edward is the finest forcer of the poeticus type. These bulbs are for planting, however, not forcing. Ariadne is of the same type as Mrs. Langtry, but is a very much finer flower. Chaucer is the earliest of the poeticus type, snowy white, with small and very red eye, and tall stem. Firebrand is a small star-shaped variety, with vivid red center. Stem tall. Lucia is a large tall flower of stately form, beautiful primrose- white. White Lady is a large, tall, white, flat flower. Albatross is a large, tall, flat flower, with low cup edged red. Beauty is a large yellow flower, cup larger and deeper than that of Conspicuus, cup tinged orange. Bianca is a flat white flower with flat white disk, green center. Circlet may be Southern Star instead. It is a star-shaped white flower with flaring trumpet edged orange-red. Dorothy Wemyss is like Seagull, but finer. Horace is one of the most popular of the newer poeticus narcissi, large, tall, and snowy white, except the saucer, which is red. Lady Bird is an early yellow variety, cup half length and heavily stained scarlet. Steadfast is very late. Pure white with golden yellow half- length trumpet. The varieties in this list that can be depended on for forcing are Conspicuus, Grandiflorus, King Edward, Ariadne, Chaucer, White Lady, Albatross, Horace, Victoria: probably also Lady Bird, Beauty, Lucia, and Dorothy Wemyss, but I have not tested them. At the time this list is going to press my descriptive retail list is not yet written. If it does not accompany this list, it will come later, without being sent for. v Oronogo Flower Gardens CARTERVILLE, MO.
