We grow both by DUfaaihg/,and grafting ac- cording to variety; some doing better by grafting while others do better budded. In all cases we use the whole root insuring a good, vigorous root system wThich is the foundation of the tree. For those who wish a cheap tree we recommend our No. 1, 4 to 5 foot tree, which is just as good in quality but not as large, as it is one year younger.

EVERGREENS.

Our Specialty.

We do not try to grow the cheapest but the best. Everyone who has had any experi- ence with Evergreens knows that quality is all important to success. We follow a system of transplanting and eliminating poor ones, thus giving our patrons those with good roots and lots of vitality that will assure success if properly cared for. Every farm should have a windbreak, and for this we recom- mend the 15-18 in. grade.

ROSES .

In this list we include only such sorts as we

know will give the BEST RESULTS to the Customer. Our roses are strong, two year Id plants, grown out of doors, well rooted, hardy and first class. EVERY PLANT HAS BLOS-

BOMS BEFORE IT IS SENT OUT, and hence is far more valuable than plants sent out by mail or those offered at cheap prices, which are more tender sho 'ts, started in a green house, and without strength enough to stand the shock of transplanting.

75c Each, $8.00 per Dozen, $50.00 per 100 H, P. ROSES that bloom several times dur- ing the summer.

These distances will vary some in different

localities but for general use you will find these a fair average. Astertaining the num* ber of plants to an acre you will find the fol- lowing rule convenient. To ascertain the number of plants required to the acre at anv given distance, divide the number of square feet (43,560) in an acre by the number of square feet you desire to devote to each plant. For instance in currant bushes planted 3 by 4 feet, each plant will occupy 12 square feet, making 3830 plants to the acre.
