HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN

At least, that's the rumor. Whether that's the gospel truth or not, those of us who have spent the winter crying over our Peruvian bonds and puzzling over gold reserves, controlled production and may¬ hap the quaint policies of bank conserva¬ tors, now find in the garden that Mother Nature still functions in her dazzling and relentless manner.

Except for a root of Theseus that was lifted by the frost, I find no frozen assets in the back yard. The Arable a- gain fashioned its mound of white, the tulips displayed their old optimism, the peonies show promise of declaring their accustomed 100^ dividend of beauty.

So if you would heal the wounds of a distressing winter, get into the garden.

It may be rough on the manicure but it will do your soul good to dig in the dirt. If you find a spot where iris would add to the picture, here are a few to select from. If you have money, no other in¬ vestment will pay you better. If, with¬ out money, you still want iris. I'll be reasonable. Many cuatomers^ especially those un- familiar with new varieties, like to have collecutions made up for them. You can get seven good varieties in a wide range of color for a Dollar or you can spend Ten Dollars for seven better, newer kinds. If you will tell me of your color preferences and say about how many plants you want, I shall be glad to make your money go as far as possible ana guarantee that you'll be pleased. In handling such commmissions I generally cast discretion to the winds and let my naturally generous nature get the better of me .
