THE CARE Oe Fee nie IN HOME OR GREENHOUSE

’ Sunlight — Shade greenhouse or indirect sun in house. Temperature — 60° - 65° preferable. Temperature be-

tween 45° - 100° will not harm the plants. Drainage — This is most important, use 1 inch of small broken tile or small rocks in bottom of pot or container.

Mix %2 peat moss, % leaf mold: (preferably Oak), V% coarse sand or vermiculite, add about 2 cup steer manure for 8"’ pot. Wet mix well while mixing together. Water plant again after it is potted.

Plants thrive best in warm humid atmosphere, but are hardy and tend to adapt themselves to conditions except to cold or direct sunshine,

Plants bloom the year around, with one bloom appear- ing ata time. Blooms should last at least 6 weeks on plant.

Spray plant occasionally with a good insect spray. It is most important to use spray near base of plant as thrip, if present, mar blooms while still in sheath.
