Vesper Dris

The beautiful filigree of graceful branches of the Vesper Iris is studded with an almost unbelievable number of jewel-like flowers, truly a mammoth bouquet. The delicately colored blossoms, which at a little distance resemble

somewhat a multitude of gorgeous butterflies at rest, with motionless out- stretched wings, vary in color, including such hues as cool translucent laven- der, with markings of mahogany, copper, lemon, orange, brown and Tyrian.

30¢ Each 6 for 71-25 12 for *2-40

P. P. Prepaid

The Vesper Iris, which often grows almost shoulder high, has a graceful ethereal beauty really impossible to describe. It is perfectly hardy and will endure both severe cold and intense heat with impunity. This little known but most desirable Iris will enhance the beauty of your garden with its delicate blossoms in the latter part of July and during August, sometimes continuing to flower even in September, filling the gap between the late Tall Bearded varieties and the fall bloomers.

This type of Peony is very graceful in growth and quite different in type of flower. The flowers are single or semidouble with wide flaring petals of exquisite coloring and texture. The centers are usually a more or less compact mass of tiny petals or petaloids surround- ing the stamens and usually of a color contrasting with the main petal color. Very charming color effects are found among them.
