G-D, ^B« CLO »5 V '*tS rc/2S: ^^ S -C*5 2 CL STALLIONS AT CHESTER PARK, HAMILTON COUNTY, O. NO. I— SOLICITOR. Bay Stallion, (3 Vol. Wal. Reg.) foaled March 21st, 1873. Bred by A. J. Alexander, Woodburn Farm, Ky. He is 15 hands 3 inches high, is well broken, of excellent disposition, and a very promising sire. He had five colts foaled in 1877, and they are all creditable to him as a stock horse. His dam, Blandina, is becoming a famous brood mare, being the dam of Swigert, owned by Richard Richards, Racine, Wis., and of Bowman's Abdallah Pilot, the sire of the famous three year old Red Jim. She is also the dam of Giggler, Barcena, and of King Rene. Blan- dina's dam, the Burch mare, is also distinguished as the dam of Rosalind. The pedigree of Belmont and the per- formance of his colts entitle him to rank with the best sons of Alexander's Abdallah, himself the best son of Rysdyk's Hambletonian. Solicitor is a handsome horse, and a stylish driver. He is level-headed, and a square, open- gaited trotter. He has never been driven for great speed, but is developing as rapidly as should be desired. At four years old he could trot his mile in 2-45. His extended pedigree is given upon the opposite page. Terms $50.00, payable at service, with privilege to breed back free if the mare proves not to be in foal. 5 STALLIONS. No. 2— BONNIE BAY. Dark bay Stallion, (3 Vol. Wal. Reg.) foaled May 28tb, 1873.
