Grateful Dead Capital Centre Landover, Maryland September 6, 1988 MC>CDR NAK-100s > Sony D-5, using Dolby B > Maxell MX- 90s > recorded by Boyd McHugh from tapers' section(bfmch@aol.com) Transfer: MC > standalone TDK DA-5800 CD recorder, via Nak BX-300 cassette deck, as long multi-song tracks. Transfer by Dave Hanscom (dehanscom@hotmail.com) Track-splitting, burning, etc.: EAC to extract to hard drive, CD Wave for splitting resulting .wav files, mkw to encode to shn. This is done by Bzl (bzlrbi@aol.com) > flac The tape flips are at the track change between Cumberland and Stagger Lee, between Drums and Space, and between NFA and Brokedown. These flips are unobtrusive. The transition between discs 1 and 2 is seamless. Jerry had equipment problems after Jack Straw, hence the large delay before Desolation, which was started by Bob and Phil, only. Jerry was off stage at that time. The files were renamed to Etree standards. Trader's Little Helper was used to generate checksums. Shntool was used to verify that all tracks were cut on sector boundaries. (Note: the shn > flac conversion was done prior to this source being distributed.)
