E. Phillips Oppenheim, an English novelist created well in excess of 100 novels. Most of his tales are thrillers and espionage. The Great Impersonation iv was written following World War I and is considered |) by many to be perhaps his best novel. The story AN ai focuses on two characters, an English Baronet and _- ~= are almost identical in appearance. Both have fallen on hard times. A chance encounter in German East Africa between the two sets the pretext for the story. One returns to England as the other to regain his position in society, and influence England to keep out of the coming war. There is one problem however: there are some who are not convinced that the individual is really not who he claims to be. You will need to listen to the end to learn the truth.
