HOYA NEW A photo taken in 1994 in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Plant on an abandoned Coeoa tree along the road south of Tentena, a mountainous region. A ef. Hoya imbrieata speeies. The leaf eoloration here is entirely different from other H. imbrieata sp. Oh There it is ! 1 A pdf publication devoted to the Genus Hoya ISSN 2329-7336 Volume 4 Issue 3 April 2015 Editor: Dale Kloppenburg Contents When a species is collected from the wild, I feel it is wise to identify it, propagate it and name it. In this way it will eventually get it into commercial channels, be distributed to all those interested in this genus and thus be preserved. If in the future the species is lost through natural causes or forest destruction it will still be here on earth in your collection. The following new species are presented in PDF format with ISSN number. 1. Hoya lambioae Kloppenburg, Guevarra, Cajano, & Carandang 2. Hoya palawanensis Kloppenburg 3. Hoya meliflua subsp. fraterna T. Green (neotype) 2 Hoya lambioae Kloppenburg, Guevarra, Cajano, & Carandang ISSN 2329-7336 Hoya lambioae Kloppenburg, Guevarra, Cajano, & Carandang sp. nova. Holotypus 71847 (CAHUP) hie designatus. Frutex seandens, infloreseentiis exeeptis glabra, ramis teretibus, pedieillis 1.6 em longus et 0.05 em diametro; ealyees segmentis sub-linearis glabris apiee aeutis 0.14 em longis et 0.10 em latis; eorolla usque infra medium pentagonus-fida, reflexa, extus glabra, intus papalatus, 1.10 em diametro eomplanatus, lobis late ovatis, aeutis ea. 0.32 em longis; eoroaae foliolis horizontalibus, apiee aeutis, dorso anguste elliptieus, eoneavis, angulo interiore dentatis, subtus eanalieulatam. Similis Hoya linapauliana sed hie eoronae exterior lobus aeutis et eorolla reflexis non rotata, intus papilosus non puberulous, differt. This new speeies is most similar to Hoya benvergarai Kloppenburg & Siar with plinerved foliage having the eorona horizontal, with eoneave eoronal lobes that reaeh or exeeed the eorolla sinuses with the inner eoronal lobe dentate and outer lobe apex aeute, however this new speeies has a smaller eorolla, and eorona, and pollinaria, among other differenees. This new hoya speeies is named for the eolleetor Ms. Ivy Amor F. Lambio who is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Biologieal Seienees UP, Los Banos, Laguna Philippines. Her field of speeialization is on plant eeology and eonservation. She eolleeted this new speeies at the Mudspring’s, Mt. Makiling, UP Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines in May 2011. Details, miero-photos ete follow: Pedicel: seetion enlarged ea. 50x. 1.6 em long and 0.05 em in diameter, glabrous terete, striet.
