New Maklboro is situated amongst the far- famed Berkshire Hills, 16 miles from Lenox and about 140 miles from New York and Boston. It can be easily reached from New York by the New Haven & Hartford and Housatonic railroads. [Horses can be shipped from Pier 45, East river, to Great Barrington, arriving inside of 12 hours.] From Boston by the Boston & Albany and Hous- atonic railroads, and from Albany, 50 miles dis- tant, also by the Boston & Albany and Housatonic railroads. Canaan, Ashley Falls, Sheffield and Great Barrington stations are all within 10 miles. The farm is situated just outside of the village and comprises in all 800 acres^ with barns built on the latest and most approved style, with stalls for 150 horses, nearly all of which are large, loose boxes. Every barn has running spring water obtained from a hill half a mile distant. The pastures are w^ll fenced and are abundant, with good springs. TERMS OF PA YMENT AND KEEP OF MARES. Mares sent to any of the following stallions will be charged $1.50 per week, while on grass, and $3 per week with hay, grain and box stall. Service fees are all cash. We do not insure, but mares not proving in foal may be returned up to the 1st of September.
