Include the OLD FAVORITES

These Tulips are marvelous for the Herbaceous Border, massed in clumps along the edge of shrubbery, or as cut-flowers for vases.

Listed under this class are all the very desirable varieties of the so-called Ideal-Darwin, Darwin, Breeder, New Hybrids, Lily Flowered and English or Cottage Garden. Garden Culture. Bulbs may be planted from the end of Septem- ber until very severe weather sets in. The beds should be raised a few inches above the surrounding ground, to prevent lodgments of water, which cause bulbs to rot. Bulbs should be set 6 to 8 inches apart and 6 to 8 inches deep. If the soil is dry at planting time it should be watered and kept moist while the weather permits.

BEAUTIFUL PEONY QUEEN OF THE GARDEN

All f.o.b. Salt Lake City. If by mail add 8c per plant; 50c per dozen extra for packing and postage.

Probably no perennial is more uni- j

versally acclaimed and loved, and we 1A Se

know of none that justifies such popu-

larity more than the Peony.

Peonies are best planted from the latter part of Sept. until the ground freezes in the Mountain States.

An important point to observe in the planting of Peonies is not to plant too deep. The roots should be placed so that the crowns are covered with 2 or 3 inches of soil. Too deep planting is a frequent cause of shy flowering. Prop- er distance apart is from 314 to 4 ft.

NOTE: Figures following varieties in- dicate the rating given them by the American Peony Society. The highest rat- ing a peony can receive is 10. There is no variety yet with such a rating; 9 is excel- lent, 8 is very good, 7 is good.

Albert Crousse 8.6. Bomb type. Late. Shell pink. Center slightly flecked crimson. Large, compact, vigorous. 50c each; $5.00 per doz.
