TERMS, EFC.

SIZE OF ROOTS. Our prices are based on a three to five eye division with a well balanced root system cut from young plants and should not be con- fused with divisions made from old clumps that are not worth nearly as much.

WE BEGIN SHIPPING the latter part of Au- gust and continue throughout the months of Septem- ber, October and November as Peony plantings are most successful when made at that time.

Should you want peonies for spring sales would advise ordering in late fall and keep them stored in a cool dry place during winter. By doing this spring planting will prove much more successful.

TELL US HOW TO SHIP. Whether by freight or express and give railroad delivery if by freight.

TERMS. We offer the usual terms to those of known responsibility but must have satisfactory business references from others or cash must accom- pany order. Those desiring stock shipped by express C. O. D. will please remit one-quarter the amount of their purchase when ordering.

CLAIMS, if any must be made immediately upon receipt of goods, when they will be carefully exam- ined, and if just, made satisfactory.

NON-WARRANTY. We give no warranty ex- pressed or implied, the purchaser assuming all risk and responsibility of transportation, planting, growth life of stock or any other matter on any stock we sell. We exercise the greatest care to keep our stock true to name and are willing to replace from our own stock, on proper proof, all stock that may prove otherwise, or refund the amount paid, but it is mutu- ally agreed that we shall not at any time be liable for a greater amount than the original purchase price.

A DESCRIPTIVE LIST of these Peonies and Iris will be gladly sent you upon request. To save space we are only describing very briefly.

How Jo Grow Peonies

The time to plant Peonies is in the fall—from the first of September until freezing weather. Any good garden soil is good for Peonies but do not plant in low, wet soil or in light, sandy soil, and do not use any fresh manure near the plant when setting. We usc a small handful of dry ground bone meal to each plant. when setting and a good potato fertilizer in spring, just before they begin coming through the ground and cultivate it in soon as you use it.

In planting see that the eyes are about two inches below the level surface of the ground. Remember, too deep planting is one of the main causes of shy b!ooming.. And, do not expect a full crop of blooms the first year. If properly planted and cared for you will have some flowers the first year but you must give the plants time to make new roots and be- come established before you can expect a normal crop of flowers. And, another thing to remember: always leave at least two or three leaves on the stalk when you cut the bloom. This helps the plant store up strength to produce another crop.

Extra Profits In Peonies

The demand for good Peonies is increasing yearly and if you are not handling them you cannot realize the extra profits you are missing. Our trade is in- creasing right along, and, at the prices we are asking this season we expect the best season we have ever had. They run about one-half what we have ever offered them at before. Take advantage of our low prices this season.

If you are not acquainted with the varieties we will gladly advise you the best varieties to plant or offer for resale. Peonies are a good side line.

There is money in growing Peonies for cut- flowers. We have received over $1,500 from one acre in one season from cut-flowers alone, and we are over one hundred miles from our market. Think it over.

Visit Our Peony Fields

We will certainly be pleased to have you visit our Peony fields when in bloom (around Decoration Day) or at any other time when convenient for you to do so. We now have over twenty-two acres in this won- derful flower. Come, write, telegraph or phone.

A descriptive list of these Peonies sent on request.

It is often possible for us to quote lower prices on large orders. Send us your Want List.
