Subject: Think you can fool me?
Salk earlier on the interview says he "imagines human kind as an organism".
07'45'' -"Think of each of us a cell, performing a different function, a different role, and if you'd see it that way, then you'd say that there is a place for everyone." "One is not better than the other, it is simply that they play a different role"
09'34' - "I see not a top rung and a bottom rung, I see all of this horizontally. I see this as part of a Matrix, and I see every human being as having a purpose. A destiny if you like."
So far so good, some might say... but later on he adds:
13'46'' - "... number two, try to bring out the best in each other. The best from the best, and perhaps the best from those who perhaps may not have the same endowment."
From this last statement I derive that in his view there is indeed such a thing as "the best from the best". If there is the best, it follows that there is "a "better, placing the man in a blatant contradiction with his first quote.
Contrary to most materialist views in evolution, Salk seem to espouse a view in which evolution has goals. His goal and that of his peers is to prevent the take over of the "devolutionary influences in our society" (06'35'').
The goals of "evolution" for this man are coincidentally identical to those purveyed by himself".
I need not add more words. Those smart enough shall see through his delusion.

The doctor is on the right track, but he is not fearless enough to travel down the time web of the future where the genetic equation is solved with mathematics. It feels like he's trying too hard to be politically correct and liberal, when he should just be fearless. We are at the dawn of the human genetic revolution.

[Dec.18,2010] Salk pretends to "know" about DNA and proteins. He clearly doesn't take into account, the DNA's complexity, that nothing so complex in nature or the physical world can come into existence by a mindless and accidental process called [chemical] evolution. At least, philosopher and former atheist, Antony Flew, has figured that out, that there must have been an intelligent Creator/God who created all life, because of its complexity.
When looking at a painting, a car, a building, or a computer, we would never say they come into existence by mindless chance... why would anyone in their right mind say, something that is as complex and wonderful as life can?? Creation proves there's a Creator/God (Romans 1:20) and on Judgment Day, every professing atheist will have no excuse, that they never knew.
Merry Christmas!!

Salk was speaking foolish things.
Evolutionists/atheists can say there's no God because they can't see Him, but then say they know that the conscience has evolved, even though they can't see that.
"A fool has said in his heart,"There is no God."- Psalm 14:1

I saw a snippet of this on my local PBS station. I was relieved to see this interview on archive.org. Since viewing this interview I have bought a number of Salk's books. All which deal with evolution and metabiology.
This interview is a rare view and I have given it the highest rating. The insight Salk has can only be understood by getting into his scientific philosophy works, such as "The Survival of the Wisest". Excellent, I am glad archive.org has this footage of a brilliant and excellent man who is indeed a "good ancestor".

I have heard Jonas Salks name mentioned from Dr Deepak Chopra & Dr Wayne Dyer and it was great to really see who he was, what he believed, and to hear his ideas about evolution and the future of humanity. I thought the video was very good. Watched in Real Player Video.
