Ralf, thanks for your quick reply. I have a rudimentary mirroring system of my own, so the server from which a freecache site gets a particular file will vary. However, I have just verified that each of my mirror servers are properly serving mp3 files as audio/mpeg. The freecache URL that is serving the file as text/html is: http://sls-310-lnx.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/freecache.cgi/md5/a0b359dfe265f94f828dd4ab7a5d19ac/209.237.232.190/text-html/WeFunk_Show_318_2004-02-13.mp3 The URL I'm using on my site is: http://freecache.org/http://www.wefunkradio.com/mirror/WeFunk_Show_318_2004-02-13.mp3 The URL http://www.wefunkradio.com/mirror/WeFunk_Show_318_2004-02-13.mp3 redirects to one my mirror servers, chosen randomly at the time of the request. So I don't think it's a problem with the file being improperly served at the source (although if one of my mirror servers was misconfigured several weeks ago and fixed in the meantime, that could have happened without my knowing). Is there another explanation for what could have happened? Would the best thing to do at this point be to delete the cached file via the new delete links on the freecache site, wait for it to be re-cached, and then see if it's cached properly? Thanks again, Nick

I got a 404 when tried your URL. I deleted the file in question; so if you it gets cached again FreeCache should pick up the correct MIME type.
