New Hybrid SWEET
Honorable Mention 1947 All America Selection

A beautiful quality Hybrid Sweet Corn with long, slightly tapering, cylindrical ears set with 12

or 14 rows of attractive kernels. The plants are

CORN— 346 Erie

wilt-resistant, vigorous, and relatively resistant to

drought. They are adapted to widely different growing: conditions. As compared with Golden Cross
Bantam, this Hybrid produces plants which are 6 inches taller and bear their ears 4 inches higher
on the stalk. The ears mature 3 or 4 days later. It always has outyielded Golden Cross Bantam.
The kernels are decidedly narrower than those of Golden Cross Bantam which adds to the attrac-
tiveness of the ears and facilitates eating from the cob. Actual canning tests have proved its
excellent quality for this purpose. | to 4 lbs., 48c per |b.; 5 to 29 lbs., 46c per lb.; 30 to 99 Ibs.,

VEGETABLE SEEDS

Dreer Quality for Market Gardeners

Every successful market grower realizes the tremendous importance quality seeds play in the pro-
duction of profitable crops. The market gardener who makes his livelihood from the sale of the produce
grown cannot afford to sow seeds of doubtful value. He must have highly bred strains carefully
selected from vigorous parent plants that. show all the typical characteristics of the true variety.
They must be full of vigor and vitality to make a sturdy growth from the start. For over a century
market growers have realized that they can depend on Dreer's to supply them with the finest in
Vegetable Seeds. The prices auoted are subject to change without notice.

requirements. While soil testing is not an
exact science it nevertheless has proved its
value everywhere. No knowledge of chemis-
try is required.
