for less than ten cents. When smaller quantities are required use the ounce papers
with the usual discount of 40 per cent off.

Our New Departure.

In Vick’s Garden and Floral Guide for 1901 is explained a new plan of selling
Vegetable Seeds in definite quantities, instead of the old unsatisfactory packet. With
this system a planter can tell at once just what quantity of seeds the packet contains,
and by glancing at the tables in the Guide, know how much land it will plant. This
should be a great drawing card, and no doubt will increase your sales materially,
if you order your seeds put up in this new style. Owing to the increase in quantities
the discount on *^-ounce and J^-ounce packages and J^-p^nts and pints of Peas,
Beans and Corn, will be same as on ounces, 40 per cent, from retail prices.

Boxes of Flower Seeds.

For the convenience of small dealers we put up boxes of seeds in papers, embracing those
varieties most in demand, and in such proportions as our long experience has taught us are
called for. The boxes are neat, showy and convenient for retailing from.

The Box of Flower Seeds contains $5.00 worth or retail papers; price to dealers $2.00.
As these boxes are filled early in the season, before the press of business begins, no changes
can be made from the assortments we have put up.

Handsome Show Cards furnished with order.

For the assistance of those selling our seeds, we will furnish a reasonable quantity of
Vick’s Little Gem Catalogue free with each order when requested.

SHIPPING.

Purchasers will please send explicit shipping instructions with each order; where
no such instructions are given we shall exercise our best judgment in the matter; but when
goods have been so delivered, in first-class condition, addressed as ordered, we disclaim all
responsibility for any accident, damage or delay on the route. When goods are desired sent
by mail, postage must be added at the rate ot 8 cents per pound.

4®=- Bags, boxes, and barrels will be charged at cost. No charge for cartage or packing.

20— CENTURY

VicK’s Earliest of All Cabbage

A Solid, Compact Grower

This new variety came to us from Denmark, the home of the
famous Danish Ballhead Winter Cabbage, and is without excep-
tion the earliest Cabbage ever introduced. Up to this time the
Jersey Wakefield has been cultivated for the earliest of all Cab-
bage, producing pointed or so-called sugar-loaf heads, but in
the 20th Century we have the round shape, like All Seasons and
others, which is the most preferable form of head. A novel
feature of this variety is in its forming a number of small cab-
bage, similar to Brussels Sprouts (and equally as good) at base
of cabbage or top of stem.

The Heads of the 20tH Century
Cabbage are round and solid

as a cannon-ball and earlier than any other sort. It grows more
compactly, thus yielding a much larger crop than either Wake-
field or Winnigstadt. For garden or market use it is unexcelled.

FLOWER SEEDS.

The flower seeds we offer are grown largely upon our own farm ; others we have
grown for us on contract and under our personal supervision by the very best
specialists both at home and abroad, and (which is of great importance) in climates
and soils best adapted for each particular variety. The seeds used in mixtures are
selected from flowers the brightest in color and most perfect in form and can be
relied upon for purity and vitality. Therefore our seeds must not be classed with
the cheap sorts picked up here and there, simply because they can be bought and
sold cheap, and which are offered by unscrupulous dealers at ridiculous prices, mak-
ing such seed dear at any price.

tffT* We will not sell less than one ounce of sorts priced at ip cents per
ounce or under; but we will put up 1-2 ounce of seeds priced at 20 cents per
ounce and over ; 1-4. ounce of seed priced at 75 cents per ounce and over ; 1-8
ounce of seeds priced at $2.00 per ounce and over.^^g

It is quite important that a mixture of Sweet Peas should be intelligently composed. This can

only be accomplished by growers who, like ourselves, are in a position to watch and care for the
crop while in bloom, and when making selections see to it that the bright or telling colors predomi-
nate. Our mixture contains about twenty-five varieties and we are confident it will give universal
satislaction. With our immense stock and low prices we are prepared to fill in any quantity all

orders for this favorite flower.

The “Victory” Lawn Mower.

Named after the flagship of one of the greatest naval heroes that ever lived — Nelson’s “Victory,”
and, like that immortal admiral, it is in a class by itself. Both are incomparable.

ITS SPECIAL FEATURES.

Ball Bearings, of the very highest grade, exact to of x-0000 of an inch, which reduce the
friction astonishingly, and render it possible to use much wider machines than heretofore. A 24-inch
mower can now be operated as easily as the old parallel bearing mower only 16 inches wide.

A Removable Cutter Bar, which, by loosening four small screws, may be rolled out of the
machine for sharpening, without disturbing the frame. A very valuable feature, found in no other
make oi mowers.

A Solid Rectangular Frame, that cannot be jarred or twisted out of parallel.

Double Steel Ratchet, like lightning in action, like adamantine in hardiness and durability. By
using two pawls in each pinion, the chances of the pawls engaging the clutch part of the pinion are
doubled, and the durability is increased ten fold.

Triple Gear entirely closed, so that no dirt or cut grass can find their way into the pinions.
PRICES : 16 in., $7.50; 18 in., $8.50; 20 in., $9.25; 22 in., $10.00; 24 in., $10.75.
