WHOLESALE PRICE LIST

i Cut-Flowers and Greens
The outlook for large crops for Easter is not very
encouraging, as continued dark weather is still upon
us and from all appearances is going to continue for
some time to come, this wilj make it doubly important
for florists to get their orders in as early as possible for
Easter Flowers, for in view of a shortage it insures the
earliest orders of being given the preference, and even
if there happens to be no shortage, there is no harm
done, and nothing lost in early ordering. In the
event of there being much bright weather between now
and Easter bringing on crops heavier than anticipated,
we always make it a point that if prices diminish in
such case, to give our customers the advantage of such
reductions. There is therefore nothing to loose and
everything to gain in early ordering.
Prices average about the same as last year, except-
ing Easter Lilies which are somewhat lower, and
believe that there will be enough for all demands.
We have a good supply of all bulb stock coming
on and in fact will have a large supply of all season-
able stock.
By referring to our list you will find that we
perhaps offer more of a variety than any other house
in Chicago, it being our aim to supply all novelties
possible.
Would call your special attention to our special
list of Ribbons and other suitable Easter Supplies,
which we are offering at greatly reduced prices. We
are prepared to fill orders on short notice in all supplies
as well as cut flowers, and many florists find it
advantageous to order from a house that is thus
equipped, at times finding it very convenient in getting
supplies sent right along with cut-flowers, unless of a
heavy nature.
Awaiting your valued orders.
Yours respectfully,
McKellar & Winterson.
For week beginning Monday, April 6th, 1903.

PRIHULA FORBESI.
The grandest and most profitable variety for
florists. Produces flowers in three months
from seed, and blooms in abundance ten
months. It is a robust grower, and thrives
even in comparatively a cool, dark place.
Stems 10 to 12 inches high, buds grow in
clusters of about 20 and open four or five at a
time, which makes it a good thing for cutting,
as it lasts a full week, opening fresh flowers
every day. The blossoms are not quite one-
"half inch in diameter, of a pleasing rosy lilac
with yellow eye. Trade packet 25c.
