. Orders from strangers not financially rated should be accompanied by 
cash or good reference. Reasonable charges will be made for boxes or 
bales for trees, except when cash accompanies the order. 

No charge for bags, boxes or barrels for seeds. 

Seeds—5 pounds at ten pound rates; 25 pounds at 100 ponnd rates. 

Seedlings—500 at 1000 rates;.5,000 at 10,000 rates. 


Our responsibility ceases on delivery to transportation company and 
receipt taken. All orders to prepay stations should be accompanied by 
cash to cover freight. Add 8 cents for postage. Small orders from 
strangers should be accompanied by cash. 


GUARANTY.—While we exercise the greatest care to have our trees 
and plants true to label, and hold ourselves prepared to replace, on proper 
proof, all that may prove untrue, we do not give any warranty, expressed 
or implied, and in case of any error on our part it is mutually agreed be- 
tween the purchaser and ourselves that we shall not at any time be held 
responsible for a greater amount than the original price of the trees.

Most collected seedlings, such as Maples and some others, except 
large size, are crooked near ground and should be cut Lack to crown before 
transplanting. They grow up straight, smooth and much faster and quicker 
than when planted without cutting back. We cut back all seedlings to 
crown before transplanting.

Our Catalpa Speciosa is from a fine strain of seed, is grow- 
ing thin-y on the grownd and will be nice, stocky, well rooted.
