NOTICE TO PURCHASERS
In presenting this, our regular Semi-Annual Price List, we
would most respectfully call your attention to our Complete List
of Stock and extremely Low Prices. We do strictly a wholesale
business, and give all our attention to our wholesale customers.
SHIPPING FACILITIES
Our railroad facilities are of the best and we can obtain the
lowest freight rates possible. We ship via the M., K. & T. and
Frisco-Rock Island Systems and all their branches, which reach
every railroad in the West and South and make direct connections
with the East.
We also ship by American and Wells-Fargo Express Com-
panies.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms of Payment. — Cash or satisfactory security before
shipment of stock. All orders to be sent by express, C. 0. D.,
must be accompanied by one-half the amount in cash.
Condition of Sale.—l. When stock is to be boxed or baled
we charge for cost of labor and material.
2. We deliver all goods free of drayage to railroad or express
offices, after which our responsibility ceases.
3. At these prices selections of varieties must be left to us,
but we always 2:ive purchaser his choice, so far as consistent with
our stock. 50 at 100 rates and 300 at 1000 rates. $50.00 worth
or more at 1000 rates regardless of number taken.
4. We prefer parties ordering should indicate the route by
which they wish stock sent. In the absence of particular direc-
tions we forward to the best of our judgment, but in no case will
we assume any responsibility after consignment to purchaser, un-
less for our own mistakes. When losses occur from detention
enroute, claims should be made on the carriers immediately.
5. We fumigate all stock when required by law or requested
by our customers to do so.
CERTIFICATE OF GENUINENESS
We desire it to be distinctly understood that we have no connection
whatever with any other nursery, or employ traveling agents, and that our
responsibility for any business transaction extends only to persons purchas-
ing direct from the nursery. Dealers purchasing from us sell upon their own
responsibilit3^ We likewise disclaim any liability for results arising from de-
fective planting, or at improper seasons, or for subsequent faulty treatment and
cultivation, and are not in any respect responsible for any loss or damage aris-’
ing from any failure thereof. While we exercise the greatest care to have all
our trees and plants true to name, well grown and packed in the best possible
manner, and hold ourselves in readiness on proper proof to replace all trees or
plants that may accidentally prove untrue to label, free of charge, or refund
the amount paid therefor, it is mutuall3' understood and agreed to and between
the purchaser and ourselves that our guarantee of genuineness shall in no case
make us liable for any sum greater than originally received for said trees or
plants that prove untrue. Our reputation for upright dealing and the uniform
high standard of quality of our products — the result of forty-five years’ busi-
ness career — is our only guarantee to our customers.
GRADES
We grade carefullj". In some cases by caliper and others by height.
When by both, the caliper must govern. The lower number is included but
the higher number excluded. For instance, in a grade of 4 to 5 feet trees, 4
feet trees are included but 5 feet trees go into the next grade higher, and like-
wise when calipered. If plump 5 feet trees are wanted, the order must be
from 5 to 6 feet. »
When desired we will send samples.
Use the “Nurserymen’s Telegraphic Code” when telegraphing.
Health certificate with each shipment.
