These trees were set out in the spring of 1921; this picture was taken a few months later. Note the

Apple Trees for Orchard
Planting
You can plant any one of these varieties and be certain of a market
for your fruit. They have proved themselves superior to the older sorts,
and have been long enough established to demonstrate that their good
qualities will bring higher priees, because of the better flavor and superior
keeping qualities.
These are all “one-year” trees; that is, they have grown in our nursery
one year since being budded. Because of the wide spaces between the
rows, and the liberal cultivation the trees have received, they are eon-
siderably larger and stronger than trees which are crowded at this crit-
ieal stage. You may order them with perfect confidence. We advise early orders. Our prices are
attractively low for trees of this quality, and it would not be surprising if some varieties were
entirely sold.
We ean supply Early Harvest, Yellow Transparent, Red June, Stayman Winesap, Delicious,
Black Ben Davis, Winesap, Yates, Horse, York Imperial, Rome Beauty, Grimes Golden, and
Jonathan. Prices as follows:
4 to 5 ft $25 per 100 $200 per 1,000) it»s wise to
3 to 4 ft 20 per 100 150 per 1,000 > Order Early
2 to 3 ft 15 per 100 125 per l,000j such prices
Save Money by Planting June Buds
These Peach Trees were budded last June, and
are ready for transplanting. You get them much
cheaper than if you purehased older trees, yet
what is the differenee? Merely age, nothing else;
these trees will grow just as well on your ground
as in the nursery.
If you have not prepared the ground for your
orehard, it will pay you to buy these trees and
set them in rows. You can plant in fall or in
spring, just as you wish, and you’ll have trees at
less than half the priee you’d otherwise have
to pay.
Remember, if you order less than 100 of a
kind, the price is 5 eents more than the rates
here quoted. Cost of packing is borne by us.
Note these low prices and send your order at
once; we have large stocks of these trees, but it may be
that others will order just what you intend to get, so don’t
delay.

Have Strawberries Next Year
Plants set out now will produce a light erop of fruit next
year, and a heavy crop the following year. Your berry
plants will be just as healthy and strong as if you waited
another season, and you will get fruit sooner.
Here Are Varieties That
Have Proved Their Merits
We have long made a specialty of the two sorts whieh
we consider superior for commercial growers. Klondike
and Aroma keep firm a long time, and they are excellent in
flavor and large in size. If you have never tried them, you
should plant an aere this fall. If you have tried them, you
need no deseriotion of their good qualities, as you have no
doubt discovered what excellent profit-makers both of
them are.
We ean supply plants of either Klondike or Aroma for
$3.50 per 1,000, and at even lower rates for greater quan-
tities. All these plants are healthy and well developed;
growers who deal in small orders have to charge much
more than our price.
