lemon  in  center;  one  of  the  largest  yet  most  graceful  flowers;  good

Pirate  (Decorative).  Fine  claret-red  with  clear  yellow  at  base;  a very

President  Wilson  (Decorative).  One  of  the  most  attractive  of  all 
Dahlias.  The  flowers  are  very  large  and  of  a bright  garnet  red  with 
each  petal  tipped  with  white.  Good  stems,  and  a grand  exhibition 


variety 3.00 

RADIO  (Waite)  (Peony).  A most  unique  Dahlia,  new  for  1923.  A 
fine  shade  of  red,  the  back  of  each  petal  is  gold.  The  petals  fold  over 

showing  an  attractive  combination  of  red  and  gold 10.00 

Red  Cross  (Hybrid  Cactus).  One  of  the  best  all-round  Dahlias  in  exis- 
tence; an  attractive  and  bold  combination  of  red  and  yellow.  A vigor- 
ous grower  and  free  bloomer 2.50 


ROHALLION  (Waite)  (Decorative).  New  for  1923.  A Dahlia  of  ex- 
ceptional merit,  the  flowers  are  produced  very  freely  on  long,  straight 
stems  well  above  the  foliage;  the  color  is  a combination  of  buff  and 

yellow  with  a suffusion  of  pink 10.00 

Rookwood  (Decorative).  A very  fine  variety.  The  flowers  are  deep 
rose  in  color,  the  plant  is  dwarf  in  habit  yet  the  blooms  are  large; 

fine  stems 7.50 

Rumson  (Waite)  (Decorative).  New  for  1923.  Buff-yellow  shaded 

apricot-yellow.  Splendid  stems  and  one  of  the  best  for  cutting 5.00 

Rosa-Nell  (Decorative).  This  is  a wonderful  Dahlia,  an  immense 
flower  of  great  substance  and  well  shaped.  Fine  rose  color,  excellent 

stems  and  a free  bloomer 5.0i) 

Scarlet  Redder  (Decorative).  One  of  the  best  dwarf  Dahlias,  very 
large  bright  red  flowers.  The  blossoms  are  produced  in  great  profusion 


so  as  to  almost  cover  the  plant.  This  variety  was  introduced  by  W.  H. 


Waite  in  1922  and  was  awarded  the  W.  A.  Manda  sweepstake  at  the 

New  York  Dahlia  Show  of  1922 5.00 

Sydney  Jones  (Cactus).  One  of  the  best  English  Cactus;  the  florets  are 

long  and  narrow,  the  color  is  deep  clear  pink  with  a yellow  disk 3.()i) 

THE  EMPEROR  (Decorative).  One  of  the  grandest  of  all  Dahlias;  the 
color  a deep  royal  purple,  the  blooms  are  immense  in  size,  but  well 

formed;  the  stems  are  perfect.  A fine  exhibition  sort 15.00 

The  Grizzly  (Decorative).  A very  large,  strong-stemmed  variety, 

color  is  dark  velvety-maroon 2.50 

Tryphinie  (Decorative).  Large  flower  of  bright  shell-pink,  lighter  at 

tips  of  petals;  the  reverse  of  petals  are  a deeper  pink.  Ver}^  attractive.  5.00 
U.  S.  A.  (Decorative).  A very  fine  variety  of  a deep  orange;  a free  bloomer 

and  much  admired 5.00 

Venus  (Decorative).  A very  fine  free  bloomer;  a fine  combination  of 

lilac-pink  and  white 5.00 

VIOLETTA  (Waite)  (Hybrid  Cactus).  Large  flowers  produced  on  top 
of  stout  stems;  the  blossoms  are  petunia-violet.  A very  choice  and 

much  admired  sort 10.00 

WIZARD  OF  OZ  (Decorative).  A giant  in  size,  yet  free  flowering  and 
a splendid  grower,  the  color  is  a rare  shade  of  glowing  amjer-pink.
