TERMS:  Cash.  Thirty  days  net  or  2%  discount 
for  cash  within  ten  days  fnom  date  of  invoice  to 
domestic  book  customers.  We  expect  remittance  with 
order  or  other  arrangements,  satisfactory  to  us,  from 
our  foreign  customers.  Prices  are  quoted  and  remit- 
tances are  expected  in  U.  S.  money. 

ALL  SHIPMENTS  travel  at  customer's  risk._  After 
having  taken  receipt  of  transportation  companies  we 
are  not  responsible  for  delays,  losses  or  injury  to 
shipment  while  in  transit.^  Customer’s  redress  is 
with  transportation  companies  only. 

PARCEL  POSTAGE.  Domestic  rates  are  gov- 
erned by  zone  taritf.  Parcel  postage  into  foreign 
countries  is  12c  per  pound  or  fraction  of  pound.  In 
addition  to  this  a number  of  countries  require  pay- 
ment of  a surtax.  Remittances  should  cover  suffi- 
cient amounts  for  postage,  etc. 

NON- WARRANTY.  We  use  the  greatest  care  to 
have  all  our  seeds,  bulbs,  plants,  etc.,  pure  and  relia- 
ble, but  they  are  sold  without  warranty  and  without 
any  responsibility,  express  or  implied,  in  respect  to 
the  crop.  All  sales  are  made  under  these  terms.  We 
are  under  no  circumstances  to  be  held  responsible 
beyond  the  invoiced  value  of  our  goods  and  we  can- 
not, under  any  circumstance,  consider  any  claim  after 
the  goods  have  been  planted.  All  claims  must  be 
made  on  receipt  of  goods. 

This  list  is  published  before  the  actual  extent  of 
some  crops  of  tree  and  shrub  seeds,  offered  in  it,  is 
known  and  our  acceptance  of  orders  is  not  a war- 
ranty for  delivery  but  it  is  subject  to  crop  accidents 
and  limitations  of  crops.  Failing  to  receive  the  full 
amounts  ordered  from  our  collectors  and  growers  we 
reserve  the  right  to  reduce  proportionately  all  orders 
which  have  been  booked  or  to  fill  orders  in  rotation 
while  supply  lasts.

IMPORTANT.— -We  exercise  evei-y  care  to  send  out  tree  seeds  true  to 
name.  We  cannot  extend  this  guarantee  to  the  result  from  sowing' 
seeds  of  such  varieties  of  conifers  as  “aurea,  compacta,  glauca,  pendula. 
pyramidalis,  violacea.  etc.”  Our  collectors  are  careful  in  gathering 
the  seeds  from  trees  showing  the  peculiarities  of  the  variety  but  the 
seedlings  will  often  revei’t  to  the  mother  form  and  as  we  have  no  way 
of  testing  the  seeds  as  to  their  producing  true  to  variety,  we  send  them 
out  without  any  warranty  that  they  will  come  true  any  given  percentage 
to  variety.

hundred  pound  rates,  respectively.  No  seeds  invoiced  for
