APPLE PIECE ROOT GRAFTS
In makelng piece root grafts, we cut scions about 5 inches inlength, and
roots about Sg- to 4 inches in length, the scion and root are toungued together and
properly wrapped with v/azed thread* This grade of grafts, v/e use largely in our
ovai plantings *

V/HOLE ROOT GRAFTS ON No* 1 3/l6ths grade STRAIGHT SEEDLINGS
This grade of grafts are made by using 5 inch scions and the whole root
from a No , 1 3/l6ths grade straight root seedling, which mokes a very strong graft.
A Number of Nurserymen prefer this grade.
Price of whole root grafts*. §20,00 per M*
V/e use nothing but the best seedlings in putting up grafts. Seedlings that
are free from diseases, grown from French Grab seed, scions are cut from trees which
we know are true to name.

GRAFTS: Tied in bundles of 100, therefore do not order less then 100
of a variety*
ORDER EARLY: ^ \7o begin gro.fting January 1st and continue until March 15th.
Soch order is grafted alone and packed away sepero-te ly in our storage cella.r until

OUR EXPERIENCE: The men in our grafting room have had fifteen to twenty
years experience in this work and know how to put them up for best results.
