Evergreens
The tremendous demand for Evergreens this past season
has used up a large part of our evergreen supply.
In the items listed below we have a fair stock. In many
other items we have a few plants of several sizes but not in
sufficient quantity to warrant listing.
On application we will be glad to send an itemized list of
our evergreens to all those interested.
In comparing the prices of our evergreens with those of
other nurseries keep in mind that our plants are frequently
transplanted in order to secure a good fibrous root system,
they are sheared from time to time as needed, consequently
they are all bushy, well formed plants.
All of our evergreens are balled and burlapped at the
prices quoted and the burlap is sewed on, not just tied with
rope.

These heavy specimen American Arbor Vitae were trans-
planted three years ago, and carry a large ball of earth. They
were closely sheared and are now very compact plants. Most
of these plants spread from 4 to 5 feet at the ground, and are
mostly sheared to a point at the top.

they are bare on one side ranging from iy2 ft. to 3 ft.
from the ground, but in other respects they are as good as the
specimens listed above, but on account of this defect we are
offering them at a less price than the “Specimen” plants.
When these plants are ordered it must be specified in the
order, “Bare on one side” otherwise the specimen plants
will be shipped and priced accordingly.
