HIGHTOWER’S VEGETABLE PLANTS
Hightowers vegetable plants are produced from the best seed, grown carefully and packed
so as to reach you in the best shape. All orders are filled promptly if the weather is good.
Bad weather conditions necessarily cause delay beyond our control, but generally the delays are
very brief. IT PAYS TO BUY GOOD, HARDY, STRONG ROOTED PLANTS. OUR PLANTS
WILL GIVE YOU A QUICKER AND BETTER CROP — NO C. O. D. SHIPMENTS OF
PLANTS.
FROSTPROOF CABBAGE
PLANTS. Our Cabbage Plants
are grown out in the open
ground, are properly hardened
off. and will ordinarily stand a
temperature as low as 20 de-
grees. Under faovring weather
conditions they will stand a
temperature of down to 13 de-
grees. Frostproof plants of
course do not mean “freeze-
proof.” or that they will stand
a blizzard. When your plants
reach you remove from the crate
at once. If not to be planted
immediately, wet the roots, and
heel out in the ground, spread-
ing the bunches as much as pos-
sible. If the plants should
reach you with the outer leaves
turned p'urple or yellow this
does not mean at all that they
are ruined. Cabbage plants are
very hard to kill and are per-
fectly good as long as the bud is
green.
