FARM CROPS
That Pay And Yield Satisfactory Returns To The Grower
DARSO: Some objection to it by a few growers. Used as a fodder crop for bay
and grain, ensilage, rowed, and for pasture many farmers are finding it reliable, bet¬
ter than most other crops. Stock leave other sorghum grains and eat it to the
ground.
FARGO MAIZE: A real grain crop. Those who grew it the past season say it is the
best they ever grew. Give it a trial.
HEGIRA, or HEGARI: Related /to kafir; earlier, more drought resistant. Give it
a trial.
MUNG BEANS: Soil improver; hay and grain crop; one of the best.
VIRGINIA GRAY WINTER OATS: Can be planted at usual oat planting time.
A wonderful producer of heavy, fine quality oats. CHEAP.

Fertilizers
Experiments made during the past three years by many
Noble county farmers show and prove conclusively that fertiliz¬
ers of the right kind used on Noble county farms can and do in¬
crease the yields to a real profit making basis.
Every farmer knows that any crop, regardless of what it is,
takes certain elements from the soil which can ,be replaced in
several of the most vital elements only by using concentrated
fertilizers, commercial fertilizers. Nitragin can be mad4 in the
soil by the use of legumes, such as alfalfa, sweet clover, soy
beans and cow peas. But potash and acid phosphate can be
made available only by putting the commercial product as rep¬
resented by fertilizer containing these elements. The farms
during the past thirty years have used in crops available supply
of phosphates and .potash. The heavy decrease in wheat pro¬
duction proves conclusively that they are gone from the soil. ,
