GROWING PEONIES FOR 42 YEARS
Under the name of Franklin Nursery I have been growing Peonies in
quantity for 42 years. During that time I] commenced to raise seedlings
and have now about 200 good varieties and have selected only 40 of these
under names for this pamphlet. They are not only good but they have stitt
stems, a quality well worth considering.
If you want to see something really good and different, we invite you all
to come to our place in Minneapolis in blooming time. We had 3,000 cars
here one Sunday. If you come when they are not in bloom we have colored
slides to show you.

STIFF STEMS AND LEAVES TO THE BOTTOM
In our 42 years growing, we have not only strived for
good bloom but for good stiff stems and leaves to the bot-
tom, so they will stand up in wind and rain and stand lots
of cutting and no stamins.
