PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMER: We are offering tulip bulbs of varieties which
have proved very satisfactory for growing year after year in this country. We do
not give illustrations, as they are rather cxpensive, and sometimes misleading,
especially if in color. We pass the savings on to you in lower prices and liberal
discounts. Because of conditions we have been unable to control completely there
may be an occasional mottled or “broken” flower from our bulbs. Many people con+
sider these variations more attractive than the pure variety. '
THE PRICES GIVEN ARE FOR THE LARGEST SIZE BULBS PRODUCED
BY THE VARIETY. THE SECOND SIZE (LARGE BEDDING SIZE) WHICH
WILL PRODUCE VERY FINE FLOWERS AND WHICH MAY BE LEFT IN THE
GROUND A YEAR LONGER BEFORE NEEDING TO’ BE TAKEN UP AND SEP-
ARATED, WILL BE SUPPLIED AT THREE-FOURTHS THE LISTED PRICES.
THIRD SIZE OR MEDIUM BULBS, NEARLY, IF NOT ALL OF WHICH WIUL
BLOOM THE FIRST YEAR, WILL BE SUPPLIED AT THREE-FIFTHS THE
QUOTED PRICES. POSTAGE PREPAID ON CASH ORDERS OVER $2.00.
DISCOUNTS. Because Mr, ‘Wheeler is in the Army and I (Van Voorhis) must
give more time to my regular work in Princeton University, we wish to sell a larger
than, usual portion of our blooming size stock, consequently we are offering the
tollowing attractive discounts: 5% off on orders between $5.00 and $10.00; 10% off
between $10.00. and $20.00; 15% on orders over $20.00. DISCOUNTS DO NOT
APPLY TO SPECIALS,:
Offers made subject to prior sale of stock. Please give some second choices
unless we may substitute.

This group is to the Tulip lover of today what the Darwins were a generation
ago and are fast becoming the favorites of those who have seen them. They are
larger, more sturdy, and very little shorter than the Darwins and bloom about a
week earlier thus prolonging the season for taller Tulips.
like Peonies. Plant a bed of ‘Triumphs and have a magnificent show of Tulips
earlier than the rest of the neighborhood.
