SPRING 1914
TO THE TRADE :
We invite the attention of Nurserymen and dealers to our Wholesale
Price List for the Spring of 1914. These prices are for the trade only
and cancel all previous quotations.
Our stock is all young and thrifty and is free from insect pest or dis-
ease. A certificate of inspection will be furnished with each shipment.
Our shipping facilities are excellent. We have the B. & M. and C. &
N. W. railroads and the Adams and American Express Companies.
In ordering please state plainly age, size and price of stock wanted as
noted in this list; also how you want the goods shipped, whether by
freight or express and by what route. In the absence of such instructions
we will forward to the best of our judgment.
After delivering to the forwarder, all shipments are entirely at purchas-
er’s risk and should any loss or delay occur, the transportation company
alone can be held responsible.
Prices quoted are net, cost of packing to be added. Quotations are lim-
ited to the spring of 1914, and are subject to change without notice. Fifty
trees, not less than ten of a variety, will be furnished at hundred rates,
and three hundred at thousand rates.
In the selection of varieties we will follow the wishes of the purchaser
as far as assortment of stock will permit, but we reserve the right to
substitute unless expressly ordered to the contrary. If the grade of stock
ordered is exhausted, we reserve the right to fill the order with a higher
grade of stock, at the price, however, of the grade ordered.
GUARANTEE OF GENUINENESS. — While we exercise the greatest
care to have all stock true to label, it is mutually agreed between the
purchaser and ourselves that our guarantee of genuineness shall in no
case make us liable for any sum greater than that originally paid for the
stock that may prove untrue.
TERMS.— Cash, unless specially agreed. Remit by bank draft, post-
office or express money order. C. O. D. orders must be accompanied by
one-fourth of the amount of the order. Telegraph orders from known
responsible parties will receive prompt attention. In telegraphing use
the Nurseryman’s Code.
CLAIMS.— All claims for errors must be made at once upon receipt of
goods. ^
CAUTION. — We accept all orders on the condition that they shall he
void should any injury befall the stock from hail, fire, frost, or other
causes over which we have no control.
Dealers will find our packing facilities unexcelled in the West.
Address all correspondence and make all remittances payable to
