CATALOGUE OF PLANTS

COUNTY OF ONEIDA,

COMPILED AND ARRANGED ACCORDING TO
Dr. JOHN TORREY’S REPORT
OF 1840.

BY P. D, KNIESKERN, M.D.
1842,

+ OK

(14
KS?
\94r

Tuer following Catalogue embraces (it is believed) nearly all the
flowering plants and ferns, hitherto detected by botanists, within the
limits of the county. A few of these have not been found by the
compiler ; but the authority cited for such, is of a character that may
be relied on.

The county of Oneida produces many rare and interesting plants ;
and it was thought proper to embody this catalogue in the Annual
Report, for the purpose of furnishing a list of those plants which may
be met with by collectors hereafter, with the authority, the time of
flowering, annexed to each species, and the precise localities of some
of the most rare and otherwise interesting plants that occur within our
limits.
