Subject: What can one say?
Subject: What can one say?
Really, this tale is far creepier than any visual adaptation due to the fact that the reader is quite unprepared for the events taking place (most movie/Tv shows have been inaccurate to the text, Ford Coppola's was at least a good effort-- yet if you've seen it, you realize how much the story diverges from what is more popularly known), as well there is the element of time and distance from the very composition of the novel itself. Late 19th century, that is every bit the undiscoverable --to our time-- country as was Vlad Dracul's Transylvania.
It is, of course and unnaturally, an exceptional story, best to be unprepared for it, I daresay.
