JUNCAGINACEAE OF NEVADA

Marsh herbs with rush=-like leaves and small spicate or race=
mosey, bractless, perfect flowers. Porianth herbaceous, 6-lobed;
stamens 3-6, with clongated or short filaments; carpels 3 or 6,
l-2-ovuled, more or less united but separating ot maturity.

1. TRIGLOCHIN Le Arrow-grass.
Leaves radical, bladeless, tercte, fleshys Sepals and petals
nearly alike, greenish, concave, deciduous. Stamens 3-6; anthors
extrorse, on very short pedicels. Stigmas sessile. Ovules soli=
tary.
One species known from Nevada.

In saline, marshy habitats, Labrador to New Jersey, west=
ward to Alaska, California and Mexico.
