JAPANESE IRISES

WHOLESALE
Fall 1926 Spring 1927

Everyone loves the rich and delicate colors found in the Japanese
Irises and our fields of several acres containing hundreds of thousands
of blooms this year have presented one of the most fascinating sights

to be found anywhere.

For years we have been growing seedlings and selecting out the
most distinctive and worth-while ones for introducing under names
to our customers and we take pleasure this season in offering a col-
lection of seedlings which have been named during the flowering

season this Summer.

Delivery can be made during the Fall or next Spring.

Our experience leads us to believe that the Japanese Irises should be planted in well-

drained situations. While they like plenty of moisture during the growing and flowering sea-

son, they do not like to stand in water, or especially where water would stand on the roots over

Winter.

The roots can be planted early Fall or during the Spring.

If planted in the Fall, we rec-

ommend a light mulch to keep them from heaving by the action of the frost.
