Amaranta Records's first release is an E.P. of sheer noisy experimentation, which is valuable (assuming it is) precisely because of its nihilism. With Condiciones de contorno, Gurb is not trying to achieve anything at all. Starting with a brief sample of noise and using only the shareware version of a piece of granular synthesis software (with help from a simple loop in the case of 'Bizarre input'), Gurb conduces two little noisy experiments driven by improvisation and with no particular pourpose. Condiciones de contorno is not a landmark record. It's been recorded merely as a way to relieve tensions and have something to start a netlabel with, no more no less. Anyway, at least it's free. And the cover is beautiful.
La primera referencia de Amaranta Records es un E.P. de pura experimentación ruidista, cuyo valor (si es que tiene alguno) reside precisamente en su nihilismo. Con Condiciones de contorno, Gurb no pretende conseguir nada en absoluto. Partiendo de un breve fragmento de ruido y empleando solamente la versión shareware de un programa de síntesis granular (y en el caso de 'Bizarre input', con el apoyo de un sencillo bucle), Gurb realiza dos pequeños experimentos ruidistas totalmente improvisados y sin un objetivo predefinido. Condiciones de contorno no es un disco trascendental. Ha sido grabado únicamente para descargar tensiones y de paso tener material con el que poner en marcha una netlabel, ni más ni menos. En cualquier caso, al menos es gratis. Y la portada es bonita.
